Pianist Eddie Mendenhall, well known on the Monterey, California jazz scene, makes his debut as a leader on Cosine Meets Tangent, featuring New York veteran vibraphonist/percussionist Mark Sherman exploring compositions leading with piano, and vibes.

Mendenhall was a member of the Ray Brown’s Great Big Band for over five years, and did a seven-year tour of the Tokyo jazz scene.

Here he is joined by Brown Band bassist John Schifflett, and veteran drummer Akira Tana.
